We knocked down the front and rebuilt. The ground works required a trench dug down to hard ground for foundations. Block work was was then brought up to a block above ground level. Damp proof was brought up and over it. Then a foot plate put in and the stud wall was built. (Unfortunately we have no pictures of the next stage but...)

 

The outside was then Boarded with marine ply, a vapor barrier placed over it, cross battened to allow air flow, boarded again, papered, meshed, rendered and finally painted. Guttering was then finished around.
